A spa appointment is an easy way to add a slow morning to a Poconos trip, and you don't need to stay at a resort to book one. The spas below take visitors, and some offer weekday deals for locals.
Age rules differ from spa to spa, and some add gratuity automatically, so check the details when you book. Reservations are a good idea, especially on weekends.
Resort spas
- Spa Kalahari & Salon, Pocono Manor (570-216-5493): massage and body treatments, skin, nail and hair care, Himalayan-salt halotherapy and a Hydro Escape area with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi (18+). Open to non-overnight visitors, with a Wellness Days for Locals program. Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 9pm, Sunday 9am to 7pm.
- Spa Shawnee & Salon, Shawnee on Delaware (570-424-4000): massages, facials, body treatments and pedicures. It offers a midweek discount for local zip codes, so outside visitors can book. Book ahead; there's a 24-hour cancellation policy.
- The Spa at Mount Airy, Mount Pocono (570-243-5230): massages including couples and hot stone, body treatments, facials, nails and hair. All guests must be 21 or older, a 20% gratuity is added and reservations are strongly suggested. Ask when you call whether you can book without a resort stay.
Day spa in town
- Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Stroudsburg (300 Commerce Blvd, 570-664-7003): massages and facials, open to the public, with online or phone booking and walk-ins accepted.
Your own spa night
Some of our homes have a private hot tub or a sauna. Ask your host about towels, robes and hot tub rules when you send your booking request.
