The Good Addition is a fully renovated eight-bedroom home in the Split Rock community of Lake Harmony, tucked into the woods one block off Lake Drive. With room for up to 20 guests, it is one of the few Lake Harmony vacation homes that can take an entire extended family or a large group, and it sits between two ski areas, Jack Frost and Big Boulder.
The first floor is designed for gathering. A modern kitchen with peninsula seating for six opens to the living and dining space, where an oversized sectional seats nine or more, a custom wood table fits eight or more, and a stone fireplace with a gas insert sits beneath a large TV. A separate family and game room has a second big sectional, two mounted TVs, foosball, shuffleboard, darts and bins of games and kids' activities. Sleeping is spread over two floors and eight bedrooms: queen beds in bedrooms one, five and seven; two single beds in bedroom two; a queen and a single in bedrooms three and eight; two queens in bedroom six; a sleeper sofa in the flex room; and a nursery space in bedroom five. Five full baths, many of them private or shared Jack-and-Jill style, plus a half bath keep the morning rush manageable, and a full-size washer and dryer are on site.
The large Trex deck is the outdoor hangout, with an outdoor bar, two gas fire pits, a grill, a big picnic table and Adirondack chairs, and the home lists a hot tub among its amenities for soaking after a ski day.
One of the best parts is being able to walk to the Hub, the lake and the lodge and town center. The driveway holds six or more cars, Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace are available, and linens and towels are provided. Ask the host about the current pet policy before bringing an animal.
