Built new and furnished from scratch, this three-bedroom, two-bath chalet sits on a private wooded lot in Locust Lake Village, a gated community in Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania. A wall of triangular windows and cathedral ceilings make the main room feel big and bright, and the house sleeps up to eight. Families, two couples sharing a trip and small friend groups will all find room here, along with a hot tub, a fire pit and a classic arcade cabinet to fill the evenings.
The open main level combines living, dining and kitchen around a stacked-stone gas fireplace, with a large sectional, a loveseat and a smart TV. The kitchen has granite counters and a breakfast bar that seats four, a French-door refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven and a Keurig, and the dining table seats six. Downstairs are a queen bedroom and a bunk room that share a tiled full bath. Upstairs, the king primary suite has a vaulted ceiling, a picture window into the treetops, a futon-style couch and its own spa-style shower. The loft next door holds a stand-up Pac-Man machine loaded with classic games, a solid wood desk with an ergonomic chair, and a sleeper sofa for an extra guest. Each main room has its own mini-split for heating and cooling.
Out back, a stone fire pit with six Adirondack chairs sits on its own patio, a pergola holds four hanging egg swings, and there is a dedicated cornhole pad. The wraparound deck is split between a teak dining set for six and a separate outdoor sectional, and deer wander through the woods behind the house. Kayaks are kept at the home for guests to carry down to the community lake.
Locust Lake Village includes lakes with sandy beaches, seasonal lifeguards and fishing docks, beachside pavilions with grills, pickleball and tennis courts, walking trails, playgrounds, a ski slope and a clubhouse. Beyond the gates, Mount Airy Casino, Kalahari, Camelback and Jack Frost Big Boulder are a short drive, which makes this a good choice for a vacation home near Camelback and Kalahari. Parking is free and Wi-Fi covers the house. The listing does not mark the home as pet friendly, so check with the host before bringing an animal.

Locust Lake Village community rules
Registration: Your host pre-registers everyone 12 and older and every vehicle before arrival. Minimum stay 2 nights.
- Rental registration: $35 per stay. Charged to the owner; your host may pass it on.
- Wristbands. Required for ages 12+; they stay at the house ($25 to replace). Day guests $5 per person plus $10 per car.
- Quiet time 11 PM to 8 AM.
- Fireworks: $300 fine, then $600, no warning.
- 25 MPH, 10 MPH near lakes; no renter golf carts or ATVs.
- Call the Rangers (570-646-3532) before any campfire.
- Renters can't bring their own boats.
