Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Poconos Vacation Rentals LLC collects on vacationrentalspoconos.com, how we use it, and your choices.

What we collect

• Booking requests: your name, email, mobile number, dates, number of guests and any message you write.
• Hosts: contact details, listing information, verification documents (a government photo ID, rental permits, and for homes owned by an LLC, corporation, trust or other entity, papers showing the host owns or controls it; these are stored privately, only our team can view them, and only to verify the host), and plan billing (payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store card numbers).
• Site usage: pages viewed, searches, clicks and the website or ad that referred you, collected with cookies and similar tools.
• Reviews: if a host accepts your request, we may email you after your stay to ask for a review. If you write one, we show it with your first name and last initial and the month of your stay. We never show your email.

How we use it

• To send your booking request to the host, and to text and email you and the host about that request.
• To verify hosts and run listing plans.
• To show hosts how their listings perform (in aggregate; hosts see only the details of requests for their own homes).
• If you ask for them, to send occasional marketing emails about Pocono homes and offers. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in any email.
• To improve the site, prevent fraud and comply with the law.

Who we share it with

When you send a request, we share your name, contact details, dates and message with that home's host so they can respond. If the host accepts, we share the host's contact details with you. We also use service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, email, text messaging, payments and analytics, only for those purposes. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share your phone number with anyone for marketing.

Advertising

We advertise on Google and on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To measure which ads bring in booking requests, our site may use Google and Meta tags and cookies that record your visit and, when you send a booking request, report that a request was made. For booking requests, we may send Google and Meta your email, phone number and name in hashed (scrambled) form so they can match the request to an ad you saw. Under some state privacy laws this may count as “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser (we then don't load these tags or send this information), by blocking cookies, or by emailing us. Google and Meta handle information under their own privacy policies.

Text messages

Poconos Vacation Rentals LLC texts guests only about booking requests they send, and texts hosts only about booking requests for their homes after they agree to receive them. We never send marketing texts. Mobile numbers and text-messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We keep a record of when and how you agreed. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from marketing emails with the link in any email. We'll still send emails about requests you make.
• Ask us to see, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@vacationrentalspoconos.com.
• You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Turning on Global Privacy Control stops our advertising tags (see Advertising).

Keeping it safe

We use reasonable safeguards, keep information only as long as needed for these purposes or as the law requires, and limit access to people who need it.
