Hot tub, Firepit, Game Room, Seclusion and More!
About this home
This single-level ranch home in the Locust Lake Village community of Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania, is a comfortable fit for a family or a small group of friends, sleeping up to eight. Its two headline features sit out back: a large hot tub on the deck and a stone fire pit circled by Adirondack chairs, with string lights hung through the trees overhead. If you have been searching for a Poconos rental with hot tub, fire pit and a bit of privacy, this wooded lot covers all three.
Inside, the open living area pairs a reclaimed wood mantel and slat accent wall with a leather sofa, green accent chairs and a smart TV, and the windows look out into the woods. The kitchen has butcher block counters, a farmhouse sink, dishwasher, microwave, electric range and coffee maker, and the table next to it seats six. Sleeping is split across three bedrooms: two with queen beds and a bunk room with two sets of bunks that sleeps four, lit with LED lights that kids tend to love. Bedrooms have ceiling fans and room-darkening shades, and the bathrooms were updated with tiled walk-in showers. A pack-n-play, luggage racks and a stack of board games are on hand.
Outdoor time centers on the back deck, where the hot tub and a Blackstone griddle live, with a picnic table out in the yard. The garage has been turned into a game room with a full-size ping pong table and cornhole boards, a handy backup on a rainy afternoon. Four beach chairs are provided for days at the water.
The community lake is only a couple of minutes away on foot, and Locust Lake Village gives guests three lakes with sandy beaches, a community ski hill with a T-bar, a sledding hill, playgrounds, fishing spots, and courts for tennis, basketball, volleyball, bocce and shuffleboard. Dogs are welcome (up to two), but cats are not permitted. There is ample parking, a washer and dryer, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a monitor, keyboard and mouse you can plug a laptop into for remote work. Heat comes from electric baseboards and cooling from window units.
