Cresco, in Barrett Township near Buck Hill Falls, Canadensis, Skytop and Mountainhome, is the quieter, woodsier side of the Poconos. It's a place for trout streams, waterfall hikes and small-town stops rather than resorts.
Brodhead Creek here is a celebrated trout stream, often called a birthplace of American fly fishing, and Mount Pocono's restaurants are about 15 minutes away.
