Kalahari Resorts Poconos in Pocono Manor has one of the largest indoor waterparks in the country: about 220,000 square feet, kept at 84 degrees all year, with a lazy river, wave pools, a FlowRider surf simulator and the near-vertical Screaming Hyena slide.
Staying in a rental house nearby gives a family or group their own kitchen, bedrooms and hot tub for less than several hotel rooms. The homes below are in Pocono Summit, Emerald Lakes, Lake Naomi and the surrounding lake communities, about 5 to 30 minutes away.
Visiting Kalahari without staying there
Kalahari sells a limited number of waterpark day passes to visitors who aren't hotel guests. They sell out, especially on weekends and holidays, so check kalahariresorts.com and book ahead of your trip.
More to do at the resort
- A large indoor arcade, escape rooms, blacklight mini golf, laser tag and a motion theater.
- Gorilla Grove treetop ropes course and zip lines in the warmer months.
- A smaller outdoor waterpark in summer.
