Albrightsville is where many of the Poconos' biggest vacation homes are: five-, six- and seven-bedroom lodges with hot tubs, theaters and game rooms, built for family reunions and friend groups.
The area spans Kidder and Penn Forest Townships in Carbon County and includes lake communities like Towamensing Trails and Indian Mountain Lakes. Historic Jim Thorpe is about 12 miles away, and Hickory Run State Park and Big Boulder skiing are nearby.
Lake communities
Towamensing Trails is a lake community just south of Albrightsville, with a spring-fed lake, a sandy beach, a pool and a clubhouse. Indian Mountain Lakes, a gated community with several lakes, pools and beaches, sits on the Carbon–Monroe county line.
Both communities register renters and limit beach passes or wristbands per group, and some charge per-guest fees. Your host handles registration and will tell you exactly what's included.

Good to know before you book
Penn Forest Township licenses every short-term rental yearly, sets guest limits based on each home's septic capacity, and enforces quiet hours (10 p.m. Sunday–Thursday, 11 p.m. Friday–Saturday). Every host on our site is responsible for the home's township short-term rental permit. Your host will confirm house rules, occupancy limits and any community passes before you arrive.
