The Poconos have three big indoor waterparks, all kept at about 84 degrees and open year-round: Kalahari in Pocono Manor, Aquatopia at Camelback in Tannersville and Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun. In summer, Camelbeach at Camelback and Kalahari's smaller outdoor park open too.
You don't have to stay at the resort hotel to swim. Each one sells day passes to visitors in limited numbers, so a rental house nearby can work out well for a family or group. Passes sell out on weekends and holidays, so buy online before your trip.
Indoor, open all year
- Kalahari Resorts Poconos, Pocono Manor: one of the largest indoor waterparks in the country at about 220,000 square feet, with the near-vertical Screaming Hyena slide, a FlowRider surf simulator, a lazy river and wave pools. Kalahari sells limited day passes to visitors not staying overnight; check kalahariresorts.com.
- Aquatopia at Camelback, Tannersville: 13 slides, a wave pool and a lazy river. Day tickets are sold to non-guests, and Camelback asks that all tickets be bought online in advance.
- Great Wolf Lodge, Scotrun: a wave pool, lazy river, water coaster and the four-story Fort Mackenzie treehouse. Half-day and full-day passes are sold online to visitors who aren't staying overnight, and they're capacity-limited.
Outdoor, summer only
- Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark, Tannersville: opened its 2026 season on June 12, with day and twilight tickets. Check Camelback's site for this year's dates.
- Kalahari's outdoor waterpark: smaller, with pools, sun decks and kids' splash areas, open in the warm months and closed in winter.
Split Rock is closed
Split Rock Resort's indoor waterpark in Lake Harmony is closed until further notice, with no reopening date announced. If you're staying in Lake Harmony, Kalahari is about 25 to 30 minutes away.
