Carebear Cabin is a three-bedroom, three-bath Blakeslee vacation home in the Brier Crest Woods community, set up for families and small groups of up to 10 who want a lake setting and a lot to do once the sun goes down. Two things set it apart: a renovated, cowboy-themed game building the owners call the Cowboy Cabin, and lake views you can take in from the backyard, the kitchen and the living room.
Inside, a bright sunroom catches the morning light, and two separate living rooms give the adults and the kids their own space, with large smart TVs, a big sectional and a fireplace for cooler nights. The kitchen has high ceilings, an island with two stools, a dining table for six, a convection oven, a dishwasher and a coffee bar with two coffee makers. A desk with fast Wi-Fi covers anyone who needs to log in for a few hours. Bedrooms one and two each have a queen bed, bedroom three has a full bed plus twin bunks, and a queen pullout sofa in the living room adds space for more guests. One of the three full baths has a whirlpool tub alongside a standing shower.
The Cowboy Cabin is where most evenings end up. It holds a pool table, foosball, air hockey, ping pong, an arcade machine loaded with more than 3,500 games and bar seating for everyone watching. Outside, the back deck seats six for dinner beside a gas grill, a fire pit glows under twinkle lights, and Adirondack chairs on a lakefront seating deck are made for morning coffee. The large yard has room for cornhole and horseshoes.
Guests get wristbands for the Brier Crest Woods clubhouse amenities, including the community beach, a playground, picnic areas and tennis courts; swimming is from the beach rather than directly from the house. Pocono Raceway, Big Boulder and Pocono Whitewater Rafting are each about 5 minutes away, Lake Harmony about 15, Kalahari about 20, and Camelback about 25. Parking is free, a washer and dryer are on site, and this home does not allow pets.

Registration: Your host registers the rental online before arrival (2-night minimum, 14-night maximum).
- Rental registration (up to 10 guests, 4 vehicles): $60 per stay
- Quiet hours 11 PM to 8 AM; 25 MPH.
- No fireworks.
- Boats: electric motors up to 3 hp.
