Couple's Cottage: Outdoor Kitchen & Fire Pit
About this home
This two-bedroom, one-bath cottage inside the gated Arrowhead Lake community in Pocono Lake is set up for slow, easy days, whether that means a couples' weekend or a small family trip. It sleeps up to six. The star of the property is the backyard, where an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ and wet bar, a furnished gazebo and a fire pit turn the yard into a second living room.
Inside, the two bedrooms and full bathroom keep things simple and comfortable. The kitchen runs on stainless appliances, from a dishwasher and microwave to a full-sized fridge and a range with an oven, and cookware and dishes are there for real meals. Mornings start with a Keurig or an espresso machine, and the counters also hold an air fryer that is new to the house, a kettle and a four-slice toaster. For evenings in, the cupboards carry glassware for wine, margaritas and martinis, along with a shaker and bar tools for mixing drinks. Three Roku smart TVs around the house handle streaming with your own logins, and Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer and a dedicated workspace cover the practical side.
Outdoors, the gazebo offers shade on warm afternoons, the outdoor kitchen makes grilling and drinks easy, and the fire pit is the place to end the night with marshmallows under the stars. The community adds plenty more: a fitness room and billiards at its recreation building, a game room for kids near the front entrance, courts for pickleball, tennis, basketball and volleyball, and horseshoe pits, all subject to the association's seasonal hours and rules.
The location works well for a Poconos rental near Kalahari. Lake Harmony, the Big Boulder and Jack Frost ski areas and Kalahari's waterpark are each about 15 minutes away, H2ooooh Water Park is about 20, and Pocono Raceway is roughly 12 miles off. Camelback, Great Wolf Lodge, Mount Airy Casino and Bushkill Falls are within reach for day trips. Because Arrowhead Lake is gated, the host registers guests ahead of arrival. Ask the host about the current pet policy if you plan to bring a dog.
