Mount Pocono is the small borough where Routes 611 and 940 meet and Route 196 heads north. It sits at about 1,988 feet and covers roughly 3.5 square miles, with about 3,100 residents. Most of the big stores are on the Route 940 strip, close to the I-380 interchange at Pocono Summit.
If you're staying in Pocono Summit, Pocono Pines, Long Pond or Pocono Lake, this is usually where you'll stock up. Hours change, so check a store's website or call before you go.

Beer, wine & spirits
In Pennsylvania, liquor is sold at state-run Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. The Mount Pocono store is the closest one to the homes along Route 940.
