Towamensing Trails is a private property-owners community off Route 903 in Albrightsville, built around a 190-acre lake. It was established in 1971 and has a community center with a game room, a private restaurant and bar, and 24-hour security.
It's one of the most popular rental communities in the western Poconos: about 10 minutes from Hickory Run State Park, 15 minutes from Big Boulder and Pocono Raceway, and under half an hour from Jim Thorpe.
Using the community amenities
Each rental home has 8 community badges, and guests wear them whenever they use the pool, beach, courts and other amenities. In summer, extra one-day wristbands are $10 per person per day at the boat rental office, up to the home's permitted occupancy. Your host will hand over the badges and explain what's open during your stay.

Good to know before you book
- Your host registers your group with the community at least 72 hours before check-in.
- Quiet hours are 11 PM to 7:30 AM. The community issues citations for noise, fireworks or firearms with no warning.
- Park only in the home's driveway, with no more cars than the township permit allows.
- Homes need a Penn Forest Township short-term rental license and zoning permit, renewed every year. Every host on our site is responsible for the home's township short-term rental permit. Your host will confirm house rules, occupancy limits and any community passes before you arrive.
