Skytop Lodge is a historic Pocono resort on about 5,500 acres, with a 75-acre lake and a member of Historic Hotels of America. It sits on Route 390, on the scenic drive that runs north from Cresco through Mountainhome.
You don't have to stay at Skytop to enjoy it. Visitors can eat at its restaurants, play its golf course and ride its zip line course. A few things, like the hiking trails, are for resort guests and homeowners only. Hours and seasons change, so call (855) 345-7759 or check skytop.com before you go.
What visitors can do
- Dining: Skytop says you don't have to be a resort guest to eat at its restaurants. At the Lodge: Windsor (dinner reservations required), The Taproom, The Library Lounge, Corner Roast and The Market. At the Inn: Lakeview (seasonal) and Callaway's. Reservations are recommended.
- Golf: an 18-hole, 6,656-yard course, in season May 1 to October 31, with April and November as off-season. Visitors are welcome but pay higher rates, and advance tee times are required for non-guests. Golfpass named it #2 in its 2026 Golfers' Choice list of top public courses in Pennsylvania.
- TreeTop Adventure Course: open year-round to the public, up to 50 ft high. The full course has 17 zip lines and takes about 4 hours ($65 for visitors). The half course has 7 zip lines and takes about 2 hours ($55 for visitors). Minimum age 10, maximum 275 lb. Prices as posted in January 2026; reservations recommended.
For resort guests only
Skytop's hiking trails are for resort guests and homeowners only, so day visitors can't hike there. Skytop doesn't publish a day pass. If you're interested in other activities, such as the pool, boating or the Adventure Center's winter programs, call ahead and ask whether they're open to visitors. For a public park nearby, Promised Land State Park is farther north on Route 390.
Getting there
Skytop is on PA Route 390. From our Cresco homes, head north on 390 through Mountainhome. It's part of the visitors bureau's Route 390 fall drive, which continues to Promised Land State Park, so a fall dinner or round of golf at Skytop fits well into a scenic afternoon.
